03/14/03 - Hebert heaved!
|

Jeanne Hebert, the 41-year-old marketing director from North Attleboro, Massachusetts, was voted out of the tribe 4 votes to 2. Jeanne, who believed herself aligned with Heidi and Christy, felt the sting as Heidi "what was I thinking" Strobel turned against her. In the dumbest move since the SheDevil jumped ship before they were in port (Survivor Thailand) Heidi managed to put all the women of the show at risk. Sorry Dawn, ya had to believe she wasn't going very far anyway.
According to the poll (Which episode do you think the merge will happen in?) 25% of you knew something was going to happen this Episode and it did. Not the merge, but a survivor swap. The tribes are now split evenly with 3 men and 3 women on each tribe. Oddly enough 50% of you think the merge will happen next episode. After this survivor swap I have to believe it will happen in Ep7 as it has in the past. This weeks poll? With Jenna spilling the womens secrets and Heidi falling for the scent of the men, Can a women still make the final 4?
Elaine and I split predictions this week with Elaine correctly predicting the 3/3 survivor exchange and me correctly predicting the bootie (as lucky as it was). If you missed it, check out the message board for the ReCap. Lets see if we can get some activity on the boards.

03/13/03 - Pick-up Sticks (EP5)
|
On Tonights Survivor Amazon!
- Just when the tribes start to get comfortable, a surprise tempts them with the opportunity of some new dynamics.
- Accusations fly at the women's camp when Jeanne secretly overhears a conversation, which leads her to declare a new attitude.
- Just as the men become confident that they have mastered their environment, Alex is suddenly hit with an injury.

03/07/03 - JoAnna in the highest!
|

JoAnna Ward, the 31-year-old guidance counselor from Orangeburg, South Carolina, was voted out of the Jaburu tribe with four votes against her. Hallelujah! Lets all thank the lord... we don't have to listen to her anymore. JoAnna made the mistake we have seen many make in this game and played the surviving part great but forgot the 'game' part. To strong, both physically and emotionally, she preached her way out.
Surprisingly the poll shows that the majority of us expect the merge to happen in the next episode. I'm thinking 5 myself. Typically the merge is in episode 7 but I think they want the sexuality to peak before Heidi drops from a 6 to a 4.
Again, Elaine and I correctly predicted the majority of the show. If you missed it, check out the message board for the ReCap. Lets see if we can get some activity on the boards.

03/06/03 - Trapped (EP4)
|
On Tonights Survivor Amazon!
- The men go out on a group expedition, but pointedly leave Matthew behind, leading him to craft a new strategy for survival.
- A new alliance in the women's tribe thinks it's unstoppable. But when an illness hits Shawna, the power may be back up for grabs.
- A dispute over chores leads one of the women to assert that she will not work. And while the women face a bare camp, the men celebrate with a feast of fish they caught at their beach.

02/28/03 - Houston? We have a problem.
|

Daniel Lue, the 27-year-old tax accountant from Houston, Texas, was voted out of the Tambaqui tribe in a 6-1 decision. Daniel just couldn't seem to mesh with the others. His weak performance at the challenges and poor work made him the obvious choice this week. Sorry Tricia, better luck in Vegas.
I've had the poll question asking if the boy/girl split was a good thing and so far 60% of you think it is. Time to change it. Take a second to vote.
This week both Elaine and I correctly predicted that Daniel would be taking the walk of shame. If you missed it, check out the the message board

02/27/03 - Girl Power (EP3)
|
On Tonights Survivor Amazon!
- When the women's tribe decides they need a leader, Deena is elected, but some hope she will destroy herself.
- The Reward Challenge becomes an opportunity for the male and female tribes to interact, leading the men to speculate about which women they may have a chance with.
- Heidi, Shawna and Jenna bathe topless and promise they'll do the same in front of the men, if necessary, to secure their votes in the future.
- A battle between young and old emerges in one of the tribes, leading to a critical decision for one Survivor caught in the middle.
I'll get up a new poll when I ReCap tonights show. Anyone have any ideas?

02/21/03 - Janet's Spa
|

Janet Koth, the 47-year-old homemaker from Manchester, Missouri, was voted out of the all-female Jaburu tribe with five votes against her. Janet, apparently has never seen the show and was shocked that the resort was so run down and the service so bad. Said Janet "I found out I am not an Amazonian woman; I'm a Cancun woman."
While Janet heads for Cancun we have to say goodbye to another of our own. Mary joins the feeble few who have had the priviledge of getting their pool money back but are then sent packing without anyone to cheer on. Don't fret Mary, you can help cheer for mine.
Thanks to Elaine for putting up the spoiler for us this week. I think she's better at it then me anyway. This week she was on the money. If you missed it, check out the the message board

02/17/03 - Aching Aiken!
|

Finding themselves on the chopping block after a humbling loss to the women's tribe at the Immunity Challenge, the men's tribe took the long walk to the first Tribal Council of SURVIVOR: THE AMAZON. Ryan Aiken, the 23-year-old model from Ellicott City, Maryland, was voted out of the tribe in a 4-3-1 vote
Elaine manages to go from a first place finish in Survivor Thailand to a last place finish in Survivor Amazon. At least you get even money Elaine!
Sorry the web site is off to a slow start this season. Between traveling and work it's going to be tough for a couple more weeks. Hopefully someone will pick up the slack and post spoilers and recaps on the message board for me. Please!

01/21/03 - Survivors picked!
|

After a very complex random number generator pick numbers which corrolated to another random generator, which caused a prism to turn seperating out the colors of the sun, which in turn cast a shadow on each survivor, which was then shuffled into a deck of pool owners. We pulled names out a a hat. The results of which can be seen as "Pool Owner" under each survivors name. Good luck everyone!
Lets all welcome our two new players this year Linda and Joan. Oh and by the way, you can tell the name picking was totally random.... I got another looser!
The season starts Feburary 13th. There is already a lot of speculation about who goes how far and I'll get some of it posted on the message board. If you don't want to know don't read the messages with the "spoiler" title.

01/13/03 - Welcome to Al's Pool!
|

Welcome to Al's Survivor Pool for the Survivor Amazon season 6! Time to break out the survivor paraphernalia and chill the beers. This year again promises to be different then other seasons. Being in the Amazon can only make it more creepy (piranha, snakes, and insects that haven't even been cataloged.
So... Get your survivors NOW! Email Me and let me know if you want one, or two, and I'll fill you in. Last years players get first dibs. If I don't hear from you by February 4, 2003 I will assume you are not playing this year and will sell off the remaining survivors. Pool Owners will be randomly picked on February 5th (or as soon as I hear from everyone). We will keep the same pool rules as last year and payouts can be found on the left hand side of the page.
Like we did previous seasons, Tricia and I will host a survivor night at our house every show (provided we aren't off traveling somewhere). We'd normally do a kick off party, but it'll have to wait till the second week as we'll be in Cozumel Mexico for the first episode. (someone tape it for me?) More info will follow as it gets closer.

01/13/03 - THE AMAZON!
|

Stranded in a remote section of the Amazon River, 16 Americans are forced to band together and carve out a new existence, form a cooperative society, build shelter, gather and catch food. Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all others in the Amazon? I added another subject (Survivor Amazon) to the message board and you can go directly there by
Clicking here!. New people come on over and introduce yourselves. We don't bite (well, most of us don't). Looks to be a good season.
