05/12/03 - The Sole Survivor
|

Jenna Morasca, the 21-year-old swimsuit model from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, became the Sole Survivor and winner of SURVIVOR: THE AMAZON. Amazingly enough she won hands down in a 6-1 vote by her past tribemates. A super season ending in yet another surprise vote. We'll keep trying to guess the out come, but the fact we can't makes it all the better. Congratulations to Michael, our big winner, and to eveyone that was in the money.
Interestingly enough last weeks poll had asked "Who will take the million?" That majority of you thought Matt (73%) but what was the most interesting was that Jenna didn't get a single vote. This season was great, the setting was good and the characters interesting. Our final poll for this season is "How did this seasons survivor compare with the first Survivor season (Pulau Tiga)" in which Richard Hatch became the first sole survivor. Take a second to vote.
Next seasons survivor is being shot in Panama. Each tribe will have their own island and the area looks beautiful. As soon as more information becomes available I'll fire up a new pool page for it. In the mean time feel free to jump in on dicussions on the message board

05/09/03 - Tit for Tat
|

Heidi Strobel, the 24-year-old P.E. teacher from Buffalo, Missouri, was voted out of the tribe with 3 votes against her. Proving once again that being liked isn't always a good thing, Heidi's downfall came as people started considering who they would want to be with in the final two. Sorry Sue, you were so close to the money. btw - I'm in the money!
Last weeks poll had asked "Do you think, after 33 days, you would be able to separate friendships from the game and vote off a close friend?" Half of you thought you could while the other half weren't to sure. This weeks poll... "Who will take the million?" Take a second to vote.
Our predictions this week were pretty good. Both Elaine and I correctly predicted physical challenges and Heidi getting the boot. Final predictions will be tough, there are a lot of factors.. Will Matt and Rob honor their alliances? Who will win the final immunity challenge? Will the fact Jenna and Rob aren't well liked help them to the end? Check out the message board for our spoilers and ReCaps. Please feel free to jump in with your opinions.

05/02/03 - Blinded by Trust
|

Christy Smith, the 24-year-old adventure guide for the deaf from Basalt, Colorado, had her Cinderella experience cut short as she was voted out of the tribe 4-2. Somewhat of a shocker, Christy sealed her fate after not commiting to any alliance. Sorry Janyce, I didn't see it coming and would of guessed you'd have been in the money. Better luck next season.
Last weeks poll had asked "Who will be the next person voted off?" The majority 57% said Heidi was going and another 27% said Jenna. No one picked Matt and only one person predicted Christy. Please stand up and be recognized. This weeks poll... "Do you think, after 33 days, you would be able to separate friendships from the game and vote off a friend?" Take a second to vote.
Our predictions this week were somewhat weak. We got some pieces and correctly predidcted that Matt would give up the reward of a family visit. However we missed the biggy and that is Christy sent packing. 11 Episodes in and the show is still good and unpredictable. Check out the message board for our spoilers and ReCaps. Please feel free to jump in with your opinions.

04/25/03 - Alex Gets His Bell Rung!
|

Alex Bell, the confident 32-year-old triathlon trainer from Los Angeles, was voted out of the tribe in a 4-3 vote. As predicted by Elaine and I, Rob was the swing vote and switched alliances to end Alex's reign. Sorry Joan. You made it further then I ever had.
This weeks poll asks "Who will be the next person voted off?" Take a second to vote.
Our predictions this week were pretty accurate considering there were good previews showing the reward challenge but no real clues as to what happened. The biggest prediction was that Rob was the swing vote and would side with Butch/Matt/Christy to get rid of Alex. Check out the message board for our spoilers and ReCaps. Please feel free to jump in with your opinions.

04/24/03 - Q & A (EP10)
|
On this weeks Survivor Amazon!
- In a SURVIVOR tradition, the castaways bid on much-desired items of food. But when letters from home are thrown into the auction, emotions run high and a fierce bidding war breaks out, leading some to exuberance and others to tears.
- Particularly good news from home makes one Survivor giddy with excitement and leads to a morale boost.
- Beaming with power, the alliance of Alex, Rob, Jenna and Heidi take it easy while the others toil in the hopes of saving themselves.
- A Survivor promises to vote against a trusted ally, sending the wounded friend into a flutter.
Check out Elaine and Al's spoilers on the message board.

04/11/03 - Deena Denied!
|

Deena Bennett, the 35-year-old deputy district attorney from Riverside, California was voted out of the tribe in a 6-2 vote. Deena was all over the map with her alliances, something that's bound to get Rob in trouble as well. The final straw came as she tried to convince her alliance to vote off one of their own, Alex. Sorry Nicole, it just wasn't your night all around.
I'll leave last weeks poll up since it doesn't seem to be getting much activity. During the Episode 8 mask smash Rob didn't get any answers correct. So the question is "Did Rob intentionally get all his questions wrong in the mask smash?"
This weeks previews made calling the challanges fairly easy. What they didn't show was who would win them and as I pointed out in my spoiler this was critical at this point in the game. I didn't get a single one correct but Elaine managed to correctly predicit Deena as the bootie. Congrats Elaine, I owe ya. Check out the message board for our spoilers and ReCaps. Please feel free to jump in with your opinions.

- It's a scramble to the end to figure out who's next to go, as various tribe members battle it out and face unexpected developments that affect their standings with each other.
- Heidi is overcome with pain from a swollen knee, and must be cared for. But does this make her vulnerable?
- Matthew is convinced he should throw a Challenge in order to get back under the radar. But is this smart?
- A date provides much pleasure and happiness, as well as a new point of view.
Check out Elaine and Al's spoilers on the message board.

04/04/03 - It's Not Rocket Science!
|

Dave Johnson, the 24-year-old rocket scientist from Pasadena, California, was voted out of the Jacaré tribe in an 8-1 vote. Dave was just to much of a threat. Colby (Survivor Australia) is the only previous physically threatening survivor to make it very far in the this game. Dave once again proves it doesn't pay to be strong or a rocket scientist in the game of survivor. Dave becomes the first jury member.
This weeks poll checks to see if you think Rob is playing dumb or is dumb? "Did Rob intentionally get all his questions wrong in the mask smash?"
Both Elaine and my spoiler were pretty accurate this week. Although we weren't sure of specifics we did manage to spell out the challenges pretty well. We also both correctly predicted Dave's demise. Sorry Darren, please play again. Check out the message board for our spoilers and ReCaps. Please feel free to jump in with your opinions.

04/03/03 - Sleeping With The Enemy (EP8)
|
On this weeks Survivor Amazon!
- Matthew fixates on sharpening the machetes and creeps out his tribemates.
- As Heidi and Jenna bathe each other, Rob voices his concern that they are using their sexuality to manipulate their fellow Survivors.
- One Survivor embarks on a highly strategic relationship with a member of the opposite sex.
Take it with a grain of salt - CBS has been hyping non-events for a few weeks now. Check out Elaine and Al's spoilers on the message board.

03/27/03 - Hey Hey... Goodbye!
|

After the two tribes merged into one and the new Jacaré tribe was formed, Roger Sexton, the 56-year-old vice president of estimating from Valencia, California, was voted out in a 7-3 vote at Tribal Council. Roger arrogantly took charge of the newly formed tribe, much to the pleasure of Rob who's not only screamingly funny but also is playing the game well. Personally, I'm surprised someone who's obviously never watched the show made it as far as he did. Sorry Linda, hope ya play again next season.
The poll hasn't been very well attended this week and I can only assume it's not a very good question. But, since I like it and think it'll play hugely in the coming episodes I am leaving it up for another week. If ya haven't voiced your opinion on it please do.
Our spoilers this week were a little off. Both Elaine and I correctly predicted the merge and immunity challenge but both of us fell short of predicating the immunity winning and the bootie. However, our attempts where more accurate then the majority of spoilers out there. We both predicted Christy to win immunity but knew Deena was a risk. I suppose we should of seen the 'Rock/Paper/scissors' thing coming. As for the bootie our decision to go with one of the three men on Tambaqui was solid, unfortunately both of missed the Jury issue (where the girls didn't want Roger on the jury because they knew he would never vote for a women). Check out the message board for our spoilers and ReCaps. Please feel free to jump in with your opinions.

03/23/03 - Girls Gone Wild (EP7)
|
On Wednesday's Survivor Amazon!
- A distraught Alex struggles over Shawna's departure.
- The mysterious locked box brings sweeping changes to the tribes.
All eyes are on two women who strip in order to win their favorite food items at a Challenge.
- One Survivor's smooth talk with the ladies irks Rob, who vows to target the suave tribe member.
I'm not sure I'll get another chance to post a spoiler so I've taken a look at the previews so far and have posted my spoiler on the message board. Make note that survivor is on WEDNESDAY this week again due to the college basketball playoffs. Hopefully Elaine will do her's Wednesday morning.

03/23/03 - Shawna Set Free!
|

Shawna Mitchell, the 24-year-old retail sales woman from Redwood City, California, was voted out of the Jaburu tribe in a 4-2 vote. Shawna spent a week whining to be voted off but pulled a miraculous recovery when the testosterone entered the camp. Unfortunately, her recovery and love interest in Alex couldn't help the image she had already portrayed.
The last poll "Can a women still make the final 4?" shows that everyone believes a women can still make the final four. This has somewhat been backed up this week as we saw more gender alliances breaking down. This weeks poll is "Who's relationship will most affect the outcome?" Take a second to vote.
Although I posted early last week the spoiler was fairly accurate, as was Elaines. Neither of us foresaw Shawna getting the axe but put correctly the immunity in the correct tribe. I hate to say it but I'm traveling again this week and might not have the time to do a spoiler this week. Thanks to Elaine though, you'll still get one. Check out the message board spoilers and ReCaps. Please feel free to jump in with your opinions.

03/18/03 - More Than Meats the Eye (EP6)
|
On Wednesday's Survivor Amazon!
- Shocked by Jeanne's departure, Christy seeks answers from the tribe as to why they spared her.
- Alex and Shawna's budding relationship grows to new levels, but Matthew's interest in her develops as well, as he makes a play for Shawna's affection.
- Dave's strategy takes a tailspin when he learns Butch & Roger have their own ideas about who should stay and who should go.
- One Survivor's performance at a Reward Challenge has an enormous impact on a tribemate, who calls it the "defining moment" of their life.
I'm putting this up a day early because I won't be home for survivor this week. Make note that survivor is on WEDNESDAY this week due to the college basketball playoffs. My spoiler will be up today and hopefully Elaine will do her's tomorrow. You can check them out on the survivor message board.
